World-renowned Yutong Bus has held the official opening of its spare parts centre in Lens. Owned by Yutong France, the Centre covers 500m2 and houses spare parts stock worth €1 million. Eventually, the warehouse will expand as spare parts sales grow. Yutong’s aim is to considerably reduce the spare parts supply cycle and effective service distance in the European market.
The project will be managed directly from a brand new site in Bethune by Yutong’s French partner, TWV, which will service the European market on Yutong’s behalf.
Strengthening the group’s presence in Europe and in France
To date, Yutong has sold more than 8,600 vehicles across Europe and its products are distributed in a number of countries such as France, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Russia. In terms of promoting new energy buses, Yutong has achieved bulk orders of fully electric buses in France, Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Bulgaria and more. Since Yutong tested the first French fully electric bus on the French market in 2015, and the group has invested in intercity electric buses, Yutong’s fully electric buses have already covered over a million kilometres in France. This not only reflects Yutong’s increasing position in overseas markets in recent years, it also demonstrates that Yutong’s fully electric buses are highly suitable and able to adapt to meet the needs of the foreign market.
“In future, Yutong will continue to maintain a steady presence in the European market, gradually expanding its sales network, improving its service and spare parts supply system, and continuing to innovate its business model. Our aim is to establish and consolidate a truly responsible brand image and to build long term commercial partnerships with our European clients” stated Du Jingjun, Yutong’s European Service Manager.
To facilitate Yutong’s arrival in Hauts-de-France, Nord France Invest was responsible for finding the right logistics partner for the Chinese group’s needs.
