A €97 million investment
In February, we announced : Refresco, a leading European bottler of beverages with operations already in Hauts-de-France, is investing in the region again with a development project assisted by Nord France Invest. This €97 million will go toward the construction of a new manufacturing unit. The completion of this brand new site is scheduled for late 2019. “The Quesnoy site is in a strategic geographical location in the north of France”, points out Pierre Bodard, General Director of Refresco France.
A new manufacturing unit
With a surface area of 27,000 m², the new production unit should allow Refresco to add two PET lines to its brick carton bottling lines. The site will also have a 10,000 m² state-of-the-art logistics platform. The company aims to start production in December 2019 for the brick carton lines and two months later, in February 2020, for plastic bottles. “Innovation in agrifood is essential and necessary to meet consumer demand. New business contracts have been signed. We had two logistics sites in the south of France and needed capacity in northern France”, says Vincent Delozières, General Director of Refresco Europe.
Anticipated hiring
With the construction of these new production lines, the company, which currently has 100 employees, is expected to boost its teams with about 50 people in logistics. Hiring will begin in September 2018. Source: La Voix du Nord
