Royal Canin set to modernize plant in Cambrai region

Located in Les Rues-des-Vignes south of Cambrai, the plant will make a number of changes to improve product quality over a three-year period. The upgrades will result in some 20 new hires. This year the plant will acquire two new kibble packaging machines designed to reduce product oxidation, enabling Royal Canin cat and dog foods to travel without losing quality. The company also plans to expand its premium veterinary products. In 2018 the Wenger line, which has converted raw materials into kibble since 1986, will be dismantled to make way for new equipment with better drying accuracy. The company will also invest €5 million in a biofilter that eliminates odors released into the area around the plant.
