Kubota: €2.3 million investment and ten new jobs in Hauts-de-France

The Japanese tractor manufacturer has gone from strength to strength since its 2015 investment in Hauts-de-France

Launched in 2015, the Bierne factory represented more than €40 million in investment for the Japanese group and created 160 jobs. Business is booming for the company which now employs 250 workers for an annual production of 1,800 tractors.

A factory at full throttle

With production thriving, KFME introduced a new welding line for cab assembly last June. Investment amount: €2.3 million and 10 people recruited.

“These jobs are part of a broader strategy to create forty new jobs over 2019-21” explains Philippe Vijaudon, KFME HR Director.

Cost reduction, reactivity, hiring: there’s no stopping the Japanese manufacturer. Other, more ambitious investments are currently under consideration for the Bierne factory.

One thing’s for sure, Kubota is aiming for annual production of 3,500 to 4,000 tractors in the long run.
