Record growth in 10 years
The production site in Saint-Amand-Les-Eaux has grown continuously since its launch in 1991. In 2011 the group invested more than 600 million euros to develop a production site with state-of-the-art technology, enabling several key stages in vaccine production.
In 10 years, the workforce has doubled and the site now boasts almost 1,000 employees with another 20 currently being recruited.
Today the location features 14 buildings spread across 17 hectares of land.

New production site investment
In 2011, the industrial location was transformed into a driver for the global public health market, providing over one billion vaccine doses for 125 countries in 10 years.
This year, GSK is focusing on upskilling its employees by investing in a training centre in Saint-Amand-Les-Eaux.
“Every year, we invest 12 million euros on average to continuously improve our state of the art equipment. For our 10th birthday, we are investing in our employees by bolstering our training policy. This will be reflected in our future on-site training centre from 2023.” Eric Moreau, Site Director.
A training space is currently in operation for initial requirements. The detailed study for the training centre starts in January and the centre aims be operational in December 2023.
