CRVO HAS CHOSEN LENS FOR ITS 2ND
AUTOMOTIVE REFURBISHMENT CENTER

Inaugurated in March 2022, the site required a €7.6m investment.

Its initial vocation of handling used vehicles for the group’s 49 dealerships in Hauts-de-France was extended in early 2024 to 30 additional dealerships located in Paris Region and Champagne.

Production volumes have been increased from 18,000 in 2023 to a target of 23,000 vehicles in 2024.

The CRVO in Lens is the Emil Frey Group’s largest reconditioning site.

WHY LENS:

HOW TO FIND THE IDEAL SITE FOR YOUR FUTURE ESTABLISHMENT?

CRVO, A RESPONSE TO CHANGES IN THE
AUTOMOTIVE MARKET IN FRANCE

The result of a joint venture between Emil Frey France and BCAuto Enchères, the Used Vehicle Renovation Center (CRVO) is a pioneer in the industrialization of automotive renovation.

By renovating and reconditioning the used vehicles in its network, CRVO aims to help automotive distribution professionals adapt to changes in the sector:

  • Growing demand for used vehicles, driven by the challenges of energy transformation and stricter regulations,
  • This means a multiplication of vehicle life cycles.

A POSITIVE SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACT
IN THE HAUTS-DE-FRANCE REGION

CRVO LENS, A STAKEHOLDER IN THE REV3 DYNAMIC

Emil Frey France is committed to respecting the environment in 3 main ways:

  • Industrial innovations: using cutting-edge technologies to optimize the production process and ensure good working conditions
  • Technological innovations: implementation of the most responsible industrial processes known, for example, allowing for the reduced use of chemicals or energy consumption.
  • Environmental innovations: through a CSR approach aimed at reducing the resources consumed and increasing energy autonomy at every stage of the process (engine oil recovery, 80% wastewater recovery, LED lighting, etc.).

A DRIVING FORCE FOR EMPLOYMENT AND INTEGRATION

CRVO is actively committed to job creation and professional integration in the automotive sector.

In line with its strategy of expanding its processing area geographically, CRVO has doubled its workforce in 2 years, with 230 employees in March 2024.

It also contributes to local vocational training through two programs:

  • An apprenticeship partnership unique in France, with the Lycée Robespierre in Lens and the Lycée Senez in Hénin-Beaumont.
The program allows students to obtain 3 diplomas in 3 years in the fields of mechanics, bodywork and painting.
And provide the company with multi-skilled employees with enhanced employability.
  • Simulation-based recruitment (SRM), which allows for the recruitment of people in retraining, not just on the basis of their professional experience, but also on the basis of their acquired or innate skills, as adapted to the automotive renovation business.
An inclusive and responsible approach that contributes to strengthening the region’s economic dynamism while meeting market needs.

CRVO IN LENS, WINNER OF THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT AWARDS
IN THE HAUTS-DE-FRANCE REGION

Every 3 years, Nord France Invest organizes an awards ceremony to highlight international companies that have made major investments in the region.

For the 5th edition, CRVO won two prizes: the Rev3 Trophy and the People’s Choice Award.

The Rev3 Trophy rewards an investment in one of the pillars of the region’s Third Industrial Revolution.

CRVO is also part of this dynamic, with its philosophy of refurbishing used vehicles through responsible processes.

A business perfectly in line with the circularity and sobriety values of the REV3 dynamic.

The People’s Prize was awarded to the company by the people of Hauts-de-France.

For the first time this year, they were able to make their voice heard, by voting for one of the 16 companies in the running.
