AlkorDraka taken over by a Canadian company

Alkor takeover represents a strategic acquisition for CGT in Europe

Earlier this month,  Canadian General Tower (CGT) took over the  AlkorDraka production plant for high-quality vinyl films, situated in Hauts-de-France. The company, which is known across Europe for its expertise and the quality of its products, is an excellent acquisition for CGT. The acquisition of the French-based companies Alkor Medical Tubing (Occitania) and AlkorDraka (Hauts-de-France) gives the world leader in coated fabrics and plastic films a strategic base in the heart of Europe. These are in addition to its other bases in North America and China and are part of its global growth strategy. “This latest development is an important strategic opportunity. It gives real impetus for CGT’s future as we continue our global growth efforts,” said Craig Richardson, CEO, Canadian General Tower The two companies, whose entire workforce will be retained, will henceforth be called CGT Alkor and CGT Medical Products

Canadian General Tower

Founded in Ontario, Canada, in 1869, Canadian General Tower has developed on an international scale. It now has operations on four continents and employs more than 1,2000 people. Specialised in plastics, CGT works for three major sectors: construction, the automobile sector and swimming-pool linings.
